Apply it around the cleansed face avoiding the delicate eye area. However, do not miss the half- moon section around the cheek bones. Low level of Retinol can be used in a small quantity on the curved part of the eye socket where the skin tends to get damaged by environmental aggressors and friction from wearing sunglasses.
If you are new to Retinol, please do not experiment with a high level of it right away to avoid putting the skin under stress. You must NEVER USE MECANICAL (grains) or ENZYMATIC EXFOLIATORS in conjunction with this product to avoid stripping the skin of its natural protective barrier which can also lead to inflammation,photo-damage (pigmentation from sun exposure), dryness and trans-epidermal water loss (dehydration). Retinol has enzymatic exfoliating properties. Also mixing Topical pure form of Vitamin C with Retinol (Vitamin A) is not recommended due to a difference in the PH level of these two chemicals. To get a plump skin and a quick reduction in lines I strongly suggest using the Environ Focus Hydrating serum with HA (HYALURONIC ACID) together with Retinol. This combination is very effective in delivering HA, the moisture locker, to the deeper layers of the skin and will have a visible result on the surface almost instantly. This is a great way to get smoother skin texture quickly. ALWAYS WEAR SUN PROTECTION during the day and DO NOT FORGET TO RE-APPLY IT EVERY 2-3 HOURS when spending time outdoors. The Environ RAD SPF15 is a good option.
