Taking Control of your oily skin
Oily skin is the most common skin type with small to medium over production of sebum resulting in shine, light break-outs and enlarged pores.
My general Tips to take back control:
- Cleansing routine is vital as the skins oil attracts environmental pollution thus forming comedones (blackheads)
- Use non oil based sunscreen, ie Physical SPF
- Exfoliate twice a week followed by a mask. Use an appropriate moisturiser and serum
- Use mattifying mineral makeup products
- Reduce intake of spicy food, sweet foods, chocolate
- Increase intake of oily fish, fresh fruit and vegetables, gluten free food
- Avoid stress
- Visit a sauna or steam room to help cleanse and detoxify
