Taking Control of Your Oily Skin

Oily skin is the most common skin type with small to medium over production of sebum resulting in shine, light break-outs and enlarged pores.

My general Tips to take back control:

  • Cleansing routine is vital as the skins oil attracts environmental pollution thus forming comedones (blackheads)
  • Use non oil based sunscreen, ie Physical SPF
  • Exfoliate twice a week followed by a mask. Use an appropriate moisturiser and serum
  • Use mattifying mineral makeup products
  • Reduce intake of spicy food, sweet foods, chocolate
  • Increase intake of oily fish, fresh fruit and vegetables, gluten free food
  • Avoid stress
  • Visit a sauna or steam room to help cleanse and detoxify
